Teach Kentucky is featured in The Voice-Tribune’s 2016 education issue as an example of a local organization recruiting top teachers to work in Jefferson County Public Schools. Teach Kentucky’s tight-knit family and community supports is a key ingredient to the program’s success.

Elaine Zhou, a first year Language Arts middle school teacher, is quoted as saying, “The greatest benefit that Teach Kentucky has provided me with is the community of educators from which I can draw support and build friendships.”

The article also discusses Teach Kentucky’s efforts to seek college graduates who possess strong content knowledge to pursue their education careers in the Louisville region while earning a master of arts in teaching. This is particularly prescient for the 2017-2018 school year, as Teach Kentucky is currently recruiting for 40 future educators with 20 of these individuals being STEM content eligible.
