Teach Kentucky Recognized at 2016 Women 4 Women Annual Luncheon
Teach Kentucky (TKY) was recognized as one of eight grant recipients at the 2016 Women 4 Women Annual Luncheon on Friday, September 16th. Women 4 Women’s mission is to “improve the economic self-sufficiency of women and girls in our community through grantmaking and community collaboration.” The organization’s funding supports Teach Kentucky’s recruitment of STEM female educators to the Louisville region’s public schools. Nine of the 13 STEM educators recruited by Teach Kentucky in 2016 are women. TKY’s 2017 recruitment goal is to bring 2o STEM educators to the region. We are grateful to funding partners such as Women 4 Women that provide the resources needed to attract more talented female educators with STEM backgrounds to teach in Louisville’s public schools.
