TEACH KENTUCKY MENTOR AWARD - Nominate A Mentor
Teach Kentucky recruits recent graduates from selective national institutions of higher education to teach in Kentucky public schools. Teach Kentucky has forged a strategic partnership with the University of Louisville's College of Education and Human Development, Jefferson/Spencer/Henry and Shelby County Public Schools, and local alumni of the respective universities to fully engage our recruits in the educational, social, and cultural fabric of our community.

We target graduates and seniors from Centre College, Duke University, Dartmouth, Princeton, Emory University, Harvard University, Middlebury College, Northwestern University, University of the South at Sewanee, the University of Virginia, Vanderbilt University, Smith, Washington and Lee University, and Yale University. But, we also have the ability to support recent graduates for other non-member institutions-so feel free to contact us about applying.

Our strategic partner, the University of Louisville's College of Education and Human Development offers our program participants eligibility for in-state tuition status to enroll in its well regarded Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. This is an alternative route to state certification while teaching fulltime. The two-year curriculum gives Teach Kentucky participants the opportunity to put current theory into their daily practice and, upon graduation, additional financial earnings ability. Additionally, our participants are able to take advantage of the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program (KTIP), a state-sponsored program for new teachers that University of Louisville faculty members supervise. Participants receive six hour of their 30 required credit hours for completing KTIP.
