One of the most important keys to succeeding in your first year of teaching is a strong support network - something we take very seriously at Teach Kentucky.
Every Teach Kentucky participant will be assigned at least two local alumni/community mentors. These mentors will be a valuable resource and offer incredible support as you make your move into town to begin your new professional life. Sometimes they are alums, some are current/former educators, and all are dedicated to making your transition to Louisville, and your first year of teaching, as successful as possible. Their life experiences and knowledge of the city will be of significant aid.
In addition to an individual mentor, the entire alumni community will also have an awareness of the Teach Kentucky program and stand ready to be of assistance in any way possible.
